- Georgetown University published the results of their study titled, “Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy for Clinically Localized Prostate Cancer” in the Radiation Oncology Journal. The team reported that SBRT for clinically localized prostate cancer was well tolerated.
- A team of researchers in New York released the results of a study of more than 300 prostate cancer patients treated with CyberKnife® technology. The study titled, “Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy for Localized Prostate Cancer: Disease Control and Quality of Life at 6 Years,” detailed that no patients experienced advanced complications from treatment and the treatment has distinct advantages over other treatment options such as high dose rate brachytherapy.
