Austin CyberKnife announced that Twisha Verma, M.D. has joined their cancer care treatment team and will be offering radiation oncology services to patients throughout Austin and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Verma received her undergraduate degree at The University of Texas McCombs School of Business in Austin, Texas, and her medical doctorate from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She also completed an internship at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, and her residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch with an integrated training at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Verma has a special interest in individualizing treatment and technology to the patient. She has presented her work on stomach, breast and prostate cancer at national conferences and has been published in a peer-reviewed oncology journal. She served as Chair of the Residents and Fellows Section with the Texas Medical Association, the Radiation Oncology liaison to the Texas Radiological Society, and on the Texas Medicine Editorial Board.
