Austin CyberKnife Sponsors Brain Power 5K

Austin CyberKnife was a sponsor of the 7th Annual Brain Power 5K, 10K, Survivor Stride & Kids Run.

The race, billed as “Central Texas’ Race Against Brain Cancer,” was held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, and raised funding for brain cancer research, recognized brain tumor survivors, and remembered loved ones lost to this devastating disease. This year’s event benefited the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation for Brain Cancer Research at MD Anderson Cancer Center, as well as local efforts in the Central Texas brain tumor community.

Austin CyberKnife had an informational table at the race and distributed information on the CyberKnife® Robotic Radiosurgery System and how it treats various types of brain tumors. Team members were also on hand to answer questions.

Austin CyberKnife was proud to sponsor such an important event and team members were thankful for the opportunity to interact with so many people and their families who have benefited from Cyberknife treatment either to spare or prolong their life.

The highly successful event was attended by over 1,000 people and raised a lot of money for brain cancer research in our community!
