Austin CyberKnife recently completed and passed their reaccreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 36,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services. Being accreditation by the ACR is recognized as the gold standard in medical imaging.
The center was surveyed and accredited by the ACR Committee on Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation for May 2, 2016 through May 31, 2019. The Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation Program provides third-party, impartial peer review and evaluation of patient care, with evaluation of staff, equipment, treatment planning and records, patient safety and quality control activities.
Austin CyberKnife is proud to achieve this prestigious designation for a second time and remain the only radiation oncology program accredited by the ACR in a fifty mile radius of Austin. Thank you and congratulations to our dedicated staff and physicians on a job well done!
